Lucknow, Aug. 22 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) and its president Akhilesh Yadav, accusing the party of practising "extremely arrogant" and "casteist" politics and urging it to shun political narrow-mindedness and caste-based hatred towards its allies and their leaders.
Mayawati said Akhilesh Yadav's comments regarding the SP's relationship with the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) were "completely indecent, unbecoming and extremely shameful".
She asked Akhilesh Yadav to immediately apologize not only to the Rashtriya Lok Dal and the family of its leader but also to the entire Jat community for "insulting the family of former prime minister (late) Chaudhary Charan Sing...
