New Delhi, Aug. 31 -- India batter Mayank Agarwal has joined Durham for the final stages of the Rothesay County Championship season.
The 35-year-old will link up with a Durham side that has enjoyed an excellent campaign in Division Two. They have won seven and drawn three of their 10 matches so far and hold a 40-point advantage with four games still to play. Durham could secure promotion by beating third-placed Northamptonshire at Wantage Road this week.
Agarwal has been brought in as a replacement for South Africa batter David Bedingham, who is heading back home this week. Bedingham leaves after playing a key role in Durham's latest victory, scoring a century against Gloucestershire in a 10-wicket win at Chester-le-Street.
