Parbhani, May 6 -- Political tensions have intensified within the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray-led Shiv Sena faction in Parbhani after 82 office-bearers submitted their collective resignations to the party. The resignations came in protest against the removal of former district chief Gangaprasad Anerao from his post.

The party recently appointed Vishnu Murkute as the new Parbhani district chief, a move that reportedly triggered strong resentment among several local leaders and workers. The development has once again exposed internal rifts within the party unit in the district.
