Bengaluru, Aug. 1 -- Maruti Suzuki India Ltd reported its highest-ever quarterly vehicle sales at 6.04 lakh in the April-June quarter, but rising costs dented profitability, with standalone net profit falling nearly seven per cent year-on-year to Rs 3,352 crore despite a sharp jump in revenue.

The country's largest carmaker posted revenue from operations of Rs 52,455 crore for the first quarter of FY27, up 36.4 per cent from Rs 38,593 crore in the corresponding period last year, driven by robust domestic demand and record exports. Total income rose to Rs 54,329 crore.

Maruti Suzuki sold a record 6.04 lakh vehicles during the quarter, comprising its highest-ever domestic sales of 4.30 lakh units, record exports of 96,972 units and supplies...
