New Delhi, March 30 -- Indian stock market opened on a weak note on Monday, with both Sensex and Nifty falling over 1 per cent in early trade.
At 10.35 am, the BSE Sensex fell 1,004.09 points or 1.36 pc to 72,579.13 and the NSE Nifty 50 declined 277.85 points or 1.22 pc to 22,541.75.
The decline in the stock market is attributed to the ongoing escalation in the West Asia conflict, which has led to a rise in global oil prices.
