Pune, Nov. 2 -- Marathi authors have not done enough justice to the art of novel writing. To preserve the classical richness of Marathi, consistent efforts are needed, said senior litterateur, thinker, and scholar of saint literature Dr. Sadanand More today.
Dr. More remarked that while short stories give justice to a character, a novel tests a writer's skill as it demands a broader canvas. Many Marathi authors have failed to explore this fully. A novelist must rise above a single ideology and create with diversity, he said"Language does not evolve through inaction or mediocrity as its growth depends on human accomplishment," he said, emphasising that language must stay connected with human life and experience.
