Dhanbad, May 12 -- Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi on Tuesday alleged a nexus among criminals, mafias and sections of the police in Jharkhand and demanded an NIA probe into alleged organised crime activities in Dhanbad.
Addressing a press conference in Dhanbad, Marandi claimed the law-and-order situation in the state had reached a "dangerous stage" and alleged that the deterioration was "deliberately created".
He alleged illegal arms supply links, involvement of organised gangs and administrative protection to criminals, and claimed the matter had interstate and international dimensions.
