Mansa, Oct. 20 -- A Punjab Police personnel posted as the gunman of the Mansa Deputy Commissioner and his son were killed, while his wife and another son sustained serious injuries in a shooting incident at their residence here early Tuesday, police sources said.
The incident took place at around 4 am in Jujhar Singh Nagar, hours before union Home Minister Amit Shah's scheduled visit to Punjab.
The deceased police personnel was identified as Gurvinder Singh, who was deployed as the personal gunman of the Mansa Deputy Commissioner, according to local media reports.
His wife and the couple's other son suffered serious injuries and were referred from Mansa to a hospital in Bathinda for further treatment.
