New Delhi, Aug. 14 -- For Manpreet Singh, the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026, starting Friday, could be his final opportunity to fulfil a long-standing ambition.
The veteran midfielder is determined to sign off from the global tournament with a medal, as India look to end a 51-year wait for their second men's World Cup title.
The tournament will mark Manpreet's fourth World Cup appearance. Despite India's success at the Olympics, including back-to-back medals at Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024, a World Cup medal remains missing from his collection.
