Imphal, July 31 -- Manipuri short film "Toy Gun" has achieved another milestone on the national film festival circuit after being officially selected for the Indian Competition section of the 16th Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (BISFF) 2026, India's only Oscar-qualifying short film festival.

The film has also secured an official selection at the 14th Jagran Film Festival 2026, India's largest travelling film festival.

Written and directed by Thingnam Parshuram, "Toy Gun" is a 14-minute 55-second short film that tells the poignant story of a widowed mother and her young son living under the lingering shadow of past violence.
