Imphal, June 3 -- The Joint Tribes' Council Manipur (JTCM) has submitted a memorandum to union Home Minister Amit Shah seeking urgent intervention over a series of alleged attacks, abductions and security incidents affecting Naga-inhabited areas of Manipur.
The memorandum, submitted on Wednesday through the Deputy Commissioner of Tamenglong district, expressed concern over what JTCM described as escalating violence against Naga civilians in several parts of the state. The council urged the Centre to take immediate measures to ensure the safety and security of affected communities.
