Imphal, July 29 -- Manipur Police and security forces carried out a series of operations over the past two days, resulting in the arrest of suspects and the recovery of arms, ammunition, drugs and an extortion suspect, officials said on Wednesday.
In the first incident, on July 27, police arrested two residents of Sora Mamang Leikai in Kakching district - Md. Izaz and Md. Mujibur Rahaman from a mobile checkpoint along Chandel Road under Kakching police station. A Honda Activa 125 (Disc, Rebel Red Metallic), without a registration number and reported stolen earlier from MG Avenue, Imphal, was recovered from the duo.
