Makhan (Manipur), May 28 -- Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Thursday visited the relief camp for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at Makhan Naga Village in Kangpokpi District, where he met displaced residents and assured that the government is doing everything possible to secure the release of six Naga civilians currently held hostage by armed miscreants.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion, the Chief Minister said four suspects believed to be involved in the kidnapping have already been arrested. He added that search and combing operations by security forces are ongoing to trace the whereabouts of the remaining hostages.
