Imphal, Sept. 10 -- The Manipur Cabinet on Thursday cleared a series of decisions concerning police recruitment and infrastructure development, chief among them the filling up of a large number of long-pending vacancies in the state police force and land acquisition for a key approach road linked to Khongsang Railway Station.
Th Radheshyam, Spokesperson, said the Cabinet gave its nod for filling up 2,720 vacancies spread across various cadres of Manipur Police. These include posts of Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Constable, Havildar, Rifleman and Follower, besides technical and ministerial positions such as Telecom, Nursing, Pharmacist, Lower Division Clerk and Constable Driver.
