Imphal, April 11 -- Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh paid tribute to Maharaj Narasingh on his 176th death anniversary at the historic Kangla in Imphal.
The Chief Minister offered tarpan at Nungjeng Pukhri on Friday and paid obeisance to the Shree Shree Govindajee Jalakeli Pala led by Maharajkumari Hemamanjuri.
Paying homage at the samadhi of Maharaj Narasingh, the Chief Minister prayed for peace and harmony in the state.
Addressing the gathering, he recalled that Maharaj Narasingh had visited Cachar during the Seven Years Devastation and played a key role in uniting Manipuris scattered across different regions through diplomatic efforts.
