Shillong, May 30 -- union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Saturday reviewed Meghalaya's preparations for hosting the 39th National Games in 2027, saying the event should not only showcase sporting excellence but also highlight the culture and diversity of the North East.
The meeting was attended by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse, Indian Olympic Association President P.T. Usha, Meghalaya Sports Minister Wailadmiki Shylla, sports officials from the eight North Eastern states and senior officials from the Sports Ministry.
