Chandigarh, Nov. 6 -- In a shocking incident from Punjab's Fazilka district, a man was allegedly tied to an electric pole, beaten, and had the word "thief" written across his face with a black marker. The act was reportedly carried out by locals who accused him of stealing cash from a nearby juice shop.
According to reports, the incident took place near Shaheed Udham Singh Chowk in Jalalabad. Shop owner Raman Kumar claimed that a few days earlier, Rs 2,000 had been stolen from his cash drawer while he briefly stepped away from the shop. Today. the same man was allegedly spotted roaming in the market again, which led the shopkeeper to raise an alarm.
