Yavatmal, Nov. 4 -- The Yavatmal Local Crime Branch has solved a 15-day-old murder mystery after identifying the body of a man found on the banks of the Panganga River, police said today.

The investigation revealed that the deceased was killed by his own brother and nephew, reportedly following years of domestic disputes caused by the victim's alcoholism.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Maroti Gunaji Sonkar, a resident of Kalgaon village in Umri tehsil of Nanded district.

The accused have been named as Ganesh Sonkar (31), the victim's younger brother and Amol Kishnarao Shrimangle (25), his nephew. Both have been arrested and charged with murder.
