Nuh, Oct. 17 -- Shahid alias Advani, who died following a police encounter in Gurugram's Sohna on Thursday, was named in 70 criminal cases across Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, including murder, rape, eight attempted murders and nine robberies, a Nuh Police spokesperson said today.
The spokesperson said a review of police records had revealed an extensive criminal history involving serious offences, including kidnapping, robbery, theft, house-breaking, extortion and attacks on public servants.
Shahid, a resident of Kharkhari village under Sadar Tauru police station in Nuh district, sustained injuries during a police encounter at Silani village in the Sohna police station area on the morning of October 15. He subsequently died.
