Srinagar, June 4 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said that it arrested a man in Ganderbal district for allegedly posing as a government employee and duping vendors and service providers by falsely promising to facilitate their access to the Amarnath cave shrine in exchange for money.
Police said a credible information was received on May 25 that a suspect identified as Mohd Ayob Jara of Androola, Poonch, was roaming in the Domail area and impersonating himself as a government employee deployed on the Domail axis of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra route.
The accused was allegedly deceiving visiting vendors and service providers by claiming that he could facilitate their access to the Holy Cave Shrine in lieu of money. Through this fraud...
