Panchkula, Sept. 23 -- Haryana Police have arrested a man for allegedly burning his wife and their two-year-old daughter alive over dowry in Sirsa district, a police spokesman said here on Wednesday.
The accused, Sandeep of Shakkar Mandori village, was arrested by Nathusari Chopta police and remanded to one-day police custody, the spokesman said.
Police registered the case on September 20 following a complaint by Satish, brother of the deceased woman, Kavita, who alleged that she had been harassed for dowry by her in-laws since her marriage about four years ago.
