New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- A man died at a Delhi hospital days after he was allegedly beaten by truck drivers who suspected him of trying to steal cables and other items from vehicles in outer north Delhi's Bhalswa Dairy area, police said today.
Ram Kumar, a resident of Kalandar Colony, was allegedly caught along with four others by truck drivers while they were attempting to steal cable and other articles from parked trucks on the evening of August 29, according to police.
Kumar's brother subsequently made a PCR call, alleging that the truck drivers had assaulted him.
Police said Kumar was taken to Burari Hospital by his family on August 30, where a medico-legal examination found bruises and a laceration on his hand, a black eye and bruisin...
