Dabwali, Oct. 19 -- Police in Haryana's Dabwali district have arrested a man accused of abducting and sexually assaulting a minor girl who was reported missing on September 7, officials said on Monday. The girl has been traced and the motorcycle allegedly used in the crime has been recovered.
The arrest followed an investigation by Kalanwali police after the girl's family lodged a complaint alleging that an unidentified person had taken her away and concealed her whereabouts.
A police spokesperson said a case was initially registered under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and efforts were launched to trace the missing girl.
