Kendrapada, Sept. 4 -- Sadar Police in Odisha's Kendrapada district arrested a man for allegedly barging into a government school, vandalising school property and assaulting its headmistress, police said on Friday.
The accused, identified as Ranjan Mahapatra of Kankadia village, was arrested on Thursday and produced before a court, which rejected his bail plea and remanded him to Barimula sub-jail.
According to the FIR lodged by Bhaktilata Moharana, headmistress of Kansar-Sahaspur Nodal High School, Mahapatra allegedly entered the school premises under Kendrapada Sadar police station limits on Wednesday and abused her using obscene and abusive language.
