Kolkata, July 15 -- Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee strongly defended party national general secretary and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee, dismissing allegations by several rebel leaders and asserting that criticism of him had become merely an "excuse" for those leaving the party.
Addressing supporters through a Facebook Live session on Wednesday, Mamata said Abhishek continued to "fight like a tiger" despite sustained attacks from political opponents and central agencies.
