Kolkata, March 7 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday mounted a strong attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing the party of exploiting its allies and appointees for political advantage and discarding them once their purpose is fulfilled.
Addressing supporters at the venue of her indefinite sit-in protest in central Kolkata against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, Banerjee cited the examples of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and former West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose to illustrate what she described as the BJP's "use and throw" approach.
