Kolkata, April 6 -- In a bizarre allegation, Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal, on Monday voiced fresh suspicions about the role of the Election Commission of India, questioning whether it has any "understanding" not only with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) but also with opposition allies like the DMK and the Indian National Congress.

Addressing a rally in Nakashipara in Nadia district, Banerjee directly named M. K. Stalin, the DMK chief, and expressed doubts about a possible "internal understanding" between the Commission, the Congress, and Stalin.
