Kolkata, March 31 -- A day after TMC All India General Secretary approached CEO Manoj Agarwal and complained about the inclusion of 'outside voters' in the list, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote to the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday, alleging a "grave conspiracy" to undermine the democratic rights of voters in the state.
The Chief Minister strongly accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attempting large-scale electoral manipulation.
In her letter to the Chief Election Commissioner, Banerjee alleged that the BJP agents in a coordinated effort were submitting thousands of fraudulent Form 6 applications to include non-residents in West Bengal's electoral rolls.
