Kolkata, June 2 -- : Former West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday accused the BJP of orchestrating a conspiracy to split her party and intimidate its elected representatives, while addressing a protest rally at Kolkata's Y-Channel.

Speaking from the protest venue, Banerjee alleged that the BJP-led government at the Centre was attempting to destabilise the Trinamool Congress through pressure tactics.

"Our MLAs, councillors and party candidates are being threatened illegally," she said, while asserting that any attempt to break the party would be thwarted.

"Our protest movement will continue," she asserted.
