New Delhi, June 4 -- Delhi's Saket Court on Thursday remanded Lovkesh Bajaj, owner of the Flourish Stay Guest House in South Delhi's Malviya Nagar, to four days of police custody in connection with the devastating fire that claimed 21 lives and left several others injured.

While granting the remand, the court observed that the allegations against the accused were serious and involved offences punishable with life imprisonment. The court noted that the arrest was lawful and justified, and held that custodial interrogation was necessary as the investigation remains at a crucial initial stage.
