New Delhi, June 3 -- As a massive fire ripped through a guest house in South Delhi's Malviya Nagar on Wednesday morning, a group of local residents and Delhi Police personnel displayed extraordinary courage, rushing into the smoke-filled building to rescue trapped occupants before emergency teams could fully take control of the situation.

Among the first responders were eleven cousins from the neighbourhood who sprang into action after learning about the blaze at Flourish Stay B&B.

Without protective gear or firefighting equipment, they entered the burning premises and helped evacuate several people trapped inside.
