New Delhi, April 3 -- Amid the energy crisis brought about by the West Asia conflict, the Maldives has reached out to India for supply of petroleum products, a request which New Delhi is examining, keeping in mind the country's own needs.
The request from Male comes after India sent Bangladesh large consignments of diesel from the Numaligarh Refinery through the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline, and also sent Sri Lanka a supply of 38,000 metric tons of petroleum products.
India is also keeping in mind the energy situation in Mauritius and the Seychelles, though these countries have not as yet reached out to India for help.
