Kuala Lumpur, June 17 -- Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is expected to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit to Kazan, Russia, for the commemorative Russia-ASEAN Summit, according to a statement from Malaysia's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.

The ministry said that, in addition to meeting President Putin, Anwar is expected to hold talks with Rustam Minnikhanov, the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, and engage with fellow ASEAN leaders to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional issues of shared interest.
