Hingoli, Nov. 4 -- In a major setback to the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, several prominent leaders from Hingoli district, including party district chief Ajay alias Gopu Patil and former MLA Santosh Tarfe, joined the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena.
The induction ceremony was held in Thane in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde. The mass defection comes at a time when no elections are scheduled, indicating a significant political realignment in the district.
