Lucknow, June 4 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has made a major change in the police administration, transferring 206 Provincial Police Service (PPS) officers.

According to an order issued by the Home Department here on Thursday, Deputy Superintendent of Police (SP)-level officers have been assigned new postings in various districts, commissionerates, PAC battalions, and special units.

The list of transfers includes officers from several important districts and police commissionerates in the state, including Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi, Agra, Ghaziabad, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Ayodhya, Jhansi, Bareilly, and Noida.
