Lucknow, April 20 -- Providing significant relief to farmers in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a significant decision regarding wheat procurement. Now, farmers will be able to sell their wheat at government procurement centres even without farmer registration.

A senior government official stated here on Monday that the government took this decision keeping in mind the inconvenience faced by farmers. In recent times, many farmers were facing difficulties in selling wheat due to the mandatory farmer registration.

In view of this, the Chief Minister directed that the system be relaxed with immediate effect. Under the new system, farmers will be able to sell their wheat directly at procurement centers, as in previous ...
