Lucknow, June 22 -- In a major fire, which broke out in a three-storeyed building in Aliganj area of the state capital on Monday, at least 12 people were killed while more than 20 were injured.

However, unconfirmed news claimed that 14 people, mostly students, died in the incident. The fire broke out at around 2 pm. All the deceased were in the age group of 20 to 24 years. Of the injured, 10 people were rushed to the Trauma Centre.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who was touring Aligarh today, has postponed his further tour and is rushing back to Lucknow.
