Kolkata, Sept. 11 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday announced that a major Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) project was coming up at Junput in East Midnapore district, saying the project has received approval after being held up over administrative issues.
Adhikari said the DRDO had written to the then Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee seeking approval for the project but alleged that she had not responded to the communication.
