Mumbai, May 18 -- At least 10 to 12 people were killed and more than 25 others seriously injured after a speeding container truck rammed into an Eicher truck carrying wedding guests on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway in Maharashtra's Palghar district early Monday morning.
The accident took place at around 4:00 AM near the Dhanivari area close to Dahanu, traffic police said.
According to preliminary information, over 40 people were travelling in the Eicher truck when the container vehicle crashed into it. The injured were shifted to Kasa Sub-District Hospital and nearby medical centres for treatment.
