Lucknow, Jan. 16 -- The Uttar Pradesh Police has introduced significant changes to its transfer policy. Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Krishna has issued a new circular outlining revised rules for the transfer of police personnel ranging from constables to sub-inspectors, officials confirmed on Friday.
According to the new circular, police personnel recruited after 2019 will generally not be transferred. Transfers in such cases will be considered only under special circumstances, and the final decision will be taken by the Police Establishment Board (PEB). The circular also reiterates that no inspector or sub-inspector will be posted in their home range, home district, or a border district of their home district.
