Panchkula, Sept. 17 -- Haryana Police has arrested the alleged main accused in the Alif Laila Night Club firing case from Kharar in Punjab and recovered a Zigana pistol, eight live cartridges and an XUV 500 allegedly used in the crime, a spokesperson said on Thursday.

The accused, identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Kaku of Ferozepur district in Punjab, was arrested by Panchkula Police Crime Branch-2, headed by Inspector Parveen Malik.

Commissioner of Police Pankaj Nain said Gurpreet was allegedly the person who opened fire inside the Sector-11 nightclub. He was produced before a court, which remanded him in police custody for six days.
