Hyderabad, July 5 -- All India Mahila Congress President Alka Lamba on Sunday announced that the Mahila Congress would launch a nationwide agitation against the BJP-led Central government from July 20 to August, accusing it of being "anti-women" and demanding the immediate implementation of the Women's Reservation Bill with provisions for OBCs.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, Lamba said the Mahila Congress had conducted meetings across 19 districts of Telangana over the past three months and claimed that women were satisfied with the Congress government's performance in the state. She thanked the Telangana government for its initiatives aimed at women's empowerment.
