Nashik, Sept. 9 -- The Maharashtra government has announced a major decision to grant complete legal ownership rights to tribal farmers who have been cultivating land for generations but have either not received forest land titles or have received incomplete titles.
Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said a special time-bound statewide campaign will be conducted from September 17 to October 2, 2026, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.
