Nagpur, June 14 -- Even as schools across Maharashtra have begun teaching the revised curriculum for Classes I to IV from the 2025-26 academic session, a large number of teachers are yet to undergo training for the new syllabus, triggering concerns over effective classroom implementation.
The updated curriculum, initially introduced for Class I, has now been expanded to include Classes II, III and IV this academic year. However, many teachers responsible for teaching the revised content have not yet received the required orientation.
Acknowledging the delay, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has issued a revised schedule, making it mandatory for all training programmes to be completed by July 10.
