Nagpur, June 20 -- : More than Rs 2,000 crore spent on Nagpur's ambitious 24x7 water supply project has failed to translate into uninterrupted drinking water for residents, as key components of the scheme remain incomplete years after its launch.
Implemented by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), the project was envisaged to provide round-the-clock water supply across the city.
However, delays in execution, unfinished pipeline laying, pending road restoration and incomplete rehabilitation work have prevented the scheme from achieving its intended objective.
According to officials, contractors engaged for the project received payments but failed to complete several critical works.
