Mumbai, June 15 -- The Maharashtra Motor Vehicle Department (RTO) is staring at a complete administrative paralysis as the state's RTO employees have announced an indefinite, statewide strike beginning on Tuesday, to press for their long-pending demands.

The decision to launch an indefinite agitation was formalised during an emergency meeting of the Motor Vehicle Department Employees union .

Addressing the media here, union General Secretary Surendra Sartape accused the state administration of employing "delaying tactics" and showing total apathy toward the staff's grievances.
