Mumbai, Aug. 31 -- The Maharashtra government has initiated serious steps regarding the Maratha reservation issue, with sub-committee chairman Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil addressing the media after a recent meeting to explain the government's position.

The meeting discussed demands put forth by Maratha agitation leader Manoj Jarange, with Vikhe Patil clarifying that a final proposal would be submitted shortly.

On the previous day, retired Justice Shinde and senior government officials met with Jarange to detail the actions taken by the administration thus far. Jarange has strongly insisted on the immediate implementation of the Hyderabad Gazette and Satara Gazette, maintaining a firm stance against granting any extensions for this process. ...
