Mumbai, Nov. 18 -- With local self-government elections approaching, the Maharashtra government on Tuesday introduced a financial assistance scheme aimed at helping educated unemployed youth from the Brahmin, Rajput and Arya Vaishya communities to set up their own businesses.
The government had earlier established the Parshuram Corporation for the Brahmin community, the Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Corporation for the Rajput community, and the Vasavi Kanyaka Corporation for the Arya Vaishya community.
