Nagpur, Aug. 4 -- : Medical services across Maharashtra were disrupted on Tuesday as thousands of allopathic doctors observed a 24-hour statewide strike to protest the state government's decision to allow registration of BHMS practitioners who have completed the Certificate Course in Modern Pharmacology (CCMP) with the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC).
The protest was called by the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Maharashtra, and supported by several medical bodies, including the Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) and other doctors' organisations.
