Mumbai, May 13 -- In a significant move to curb administrative spending and conserve foreign exchange, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered the immediate cancellation of all upcoming foreign tours for state ministers and senior bureaucrats.
The directive applies even to those trips that have already completed the preparatory stages or received prior approval. This decision is expected to significantly reduce the number of officials traveling abroad under the pretext of study tours or official government business.
Moving forward, permissions for foreign travel will only be granted in cases of absolute urgency.
